On the face of it this album seems to lack the impact of Hot Chip's previous efforts, but don't let that put you off. The production this time round seems to be much more slick, more poppy, tracks like 'hand me down your love' and 'I feel better' at first seemed to me to be a bit throwaway, then you realize hours later you are still singing it in your head and you remember the string section and all the other elements that just come in at the right moment to add up to a great aural experience. The tone of the album is more reflective and less aggressive but the hooks are all still there, the little things that keep you coming back for more. Give it a few listens and then you'll find yourself wanting to hear more and more, roll on the next album!

Best album I've heard this year, no question. Beautiful, luscious and funky as James Brown's johnson. Buy it.

well its been coming along time and after listening to the last album in the car today in preperation for a gig a week on friday. and liking the one played on the radio i thought I'd buy it..

a little disapointed i was hoping for more techno breaks (ala shake a fist) and a bit more craziness. I really only like track 4 'one life stand' so far but i'll listen to this album over and over ..

i don't know was hoping for some simple repetition like over and over ready for dancefloor, bendable poseable etc.. but nothing
i like the little guys voice but its on every track ! way too much..

i just hope they play a few old tracks in manchester !!
